How do American students prepare funds

The United States is one of the most popular countries to study abroad.

For everyone, studying abroad, you will have a lot of questions, such as what exams do you need to take, how to prepare, what materials do you need?

These are common sense questions you need to know in the early stages of studying abroad.

Let’s follow here to see how American students prepare their funds!

1, in principle, the US visa requires the deposit period of more than half a year, time deposit is the best personal deposit;

2. What if I don’t have enough time for my fixed deposit?

It can be supplemented according to the different occupational backgrounds of the parents;

3, choose the best bank is a large state-owned bank or joint-stock bank, do not deposit in the local credit cooperatives, credit cooperatives are not recognized by the United States Consulate;

4, real estate, cars, stocks, funds can be submitted as auxiliary materials, the requirements must be the original, so as to be authentic;

5, different applicants need different amount of funds, generally according to the full award/half award/self-funded, the cost of the school and the length of your study in the United States to prepare.

1. It is more convenient to carry US dollars in cash with you. If you carry the equivalent US $5,000 or the total amount is more than the equivalent US $5,000, you must apply to the bank for a Foreign Exchange Exit Permit, and the amount shall not exceed the equivalent US $10,000.

But if something goes wrong, like it’s stolen or lost, it’s not worth it.

Although this kind of way can omit a few poundage so, but do not advocate.

2, open a bill of exchange can deal with to the bank of China for example, poundage is not calculated too expensive, spend some money to buy a safety is worth.

The disadvantage is to go to the United States, to open an account in the bank, and then to save in the use.

Also, to the United States to have a social security number before opening an account in the bank.

Once a student arrived in the United States and took almost three months to get a Social Security number, she didn’t have much luck either.

But there are some things that are out of our control, so if you want to use the money right after you get to the States, it’s still not a good idea.

3. American Express traveler’s checks can also be processed at the Bank of China, which is slightly more expensive than a draft.

One more note: American Express, mastercard and VISA are considered the three leading credit card issuers in the world.

The advantage of these traveler’s checks is that you have to sign each check when you buy it and again when you pay for it. This means that if you lose it, no one can use it.

Another advantage is that it can be used like cash in the United States without additional fees.

Let’s say you buy an item worth $80, you hand the salesman a check for $100, and he wants $20 back.

If you want to save your money after you come to the United States, you should choose a bank where you can cash in-transit traveler’s checks for free.

It is important to take RMB to the in – line in dollars and then buy some traveler’s checks, is best done in a transaction, that is to say, in the foreign exchange with RMB, don’t put it in your bank account, and then buy a traveler’s check, if you do, then buy traveler’s check with your bank account currency, poundage is 0.75%.

Traveler’s checks have many other advantages, such as they can be reported if lost, they will be reissued to you after confirmation and so on.

Students go to the United States to study alone, in addition to pay attention to personal safety, is to pay attention to their own property safety.

So you can choose the above three ways to carry money before going abroad.
