1. Turning an apple into a white Cloud Kolomna Soft fruit cake is an ancient Russian dessert made of sour apples, honey and syrup.

It was made as early as the time of Ivan IV (also known as Ivan the Terrible, 1530-1584).

It was a canned food from the Middle Ages and a great way to store food.

The Kolomna soft fruit cake is made by roasting the apples in the oven until they are fully baked. Then the apples are mashed into a puree, laid flat on a board, and dried in the sun.

Roll up the dried ribbon apple puree and serve it as a dessert until the next apple harvest.

If you want to taste the apple cake, learn its recipe or buy it, drive to the “Lost Delicacies” Museum in Kolomna, 96 kilometers from Moscow.

2. Tula Honey Cake: The delicious Tula honey cake that Tolstoy tasted is one of the most delicately made pastries in Russia and probably the most famous Russian dessert in the world.

In Russia, honey cakes made elsewhere are round, small and contain no filling.

However, as early as the 18th century, the Tula people (183 kilometers from Moscow) came up with the idea of making honey cakes into rectangular shapes filled with various characters and patterns.

If you want to learn the interesting story of the Tula Treacle cake, the Tula Treacle Cake Museum will tell you all about it.

The museum is not far from Tolstoy’s former residence, so you can visit it on the side.

3. Far East Sea cucumber: Ginseng in the sea Vladivostok (9,134 kilometers from Moscow) was once known as the “sea cucumber Bay”, which is the only place in Russia where sea cucumbers can be caught.

This Marine invertebrate is reminiscent of a giant caterpillar.

The delicious and nutritious Vladivostok sea cucumber has been an integral ingredient in Japanese, Korean and Chinese cuisines since the 16th century.

They can be added to salads, eaten dry, or soaked in wine with honey to taste.

4. Chum and Mussen: Siberian delicacies Legend has it that chum and Mussen are the most famous Siberian fish in Russia.

Chum is a native fish of Russia, so its English and Latin pronunciation is the same as Russian pronunciation.

In Siberia, fishermen and local people catch chum according to the fishing season.

The chum has less meat than the Mussen, but both fish have the same soft, sweet meat and higher fat content because they live in colder climates.

Marinated Muson salmon is the most delicious and can only be found in Siberia, while autumn salmon can only be found in the Baikal region.

They are also the perfect ingredients for a dish called Siberian tartar.

5. Triangulata: A delicious, never correctly named triangulata (translated from Tatar and Bashkir, meaning “triangle”) is one of the most common pasta dishes in Bashkortostan and Tatarstan.

It is small and usually filled with potatoes, lamb and scallions.

If you’re ever hungry in Ufa (1,165km from Moscow) or Kazan (719km from Moscow), skip the burger and try the triangular stuffing!

It is available in almost all local supermarkets and restaurants.

Every May, St. Petersburg is filled with the smell of sauteed smelt and fresh cucumbers, heralded by the arrival of spring.

The smelt lives in the Neva River and the Gulf of Finland and has become a culinary symbol of St. Petersburg.

Smelt is the most delicious when caught fresh.

As a result, the city hosts the annual spring smelt Festival, which has become a living tradition for its citizens.

7. Dagestan Lamb: The best lamb in Russia comes from the Caucasus region of Dagestan (1,795 kilometers from Moscow).

Dagestan mutton has little of the usual odor of mutton, and the fat of the lamb is delicious.

If you want to taste the kind of lamb that local herders ate centuries ago, travel to Russia, especially in the south, and try the local lamb soup and Dagestan shish kebabs.

In the Caucasus, the chefs who cook these delicacies are all men.

It is worth mentioning that almost all the fresh lamb in Moscow comes from Dagestan.

8. Frozen fish fillets: A source of optimism that will never freeze What do people eat in the cold climate of northern Russia?

The shocking delicacy is the frozen fish fillet!

As the name suggests, frozen fish is thinly sliced and marinated with salt and black pepper.

Locally, frozen fillets are available for almost any fish, including broad-nosed whitefish, chum, Bonny, sturgeon, Muson, sockeye, Jero, high whitefish, and Opal.

For a traditional Russian frozen fillet, head to Yakutsk (4,898 kilometers from Moscow).

It is also an important source of all Russian diamonds.

9. Altai Honey: Another reason to love buckwheat Beside the Altai Mountains lies Russia’s largest buckwheat production base.

Buckwheat is a bee favorite, which produces a special honey — thick, dark amber and with a distinctive flavor.

If desired, you can buy Altai honey in any Moscow supermarket or bazaar.

Altai grass infused water and Altai honey are the best combination.

10. “Chuck-Chuck” : The Best Selling Oriental Cuisine All Tartars, Bashkirs, Kyrgyz, Uzbeks and Kazakhs eat “Chuck-chuck”.

There are only three ingredients: flour, eggs and honey.

Now knead the dough well, rub into small long strips, and then fry in hot oil, pour honey can.

Finally, the dough can be shaped into a cone shape, also fried and covered with honey, and eaten with your hands, big and sweet.

This is how the steppe nomads who first invented Chuck-Chucks made and ate them 1,000 years ago.
