In order to ensure the safety of assets, the bank has made specific provisions on the amount of loan for study abroad: in principle, the loan amount shall not exceed 80% of the total tuition and miscellaneous expenses and living expenses required by the overseas students during their study in the university;
The sum of RMB equivalent to the application fee, tuition fee, living expenses and other necessary expenses in one year specified in the admission letter or other valid admission certificate shall not exceed RMB 500,000.
The term of the loan for studying abroad is determined according to the duration of study abroad, the income of the borrower and the guarantee ability of the guarantor and the collateral. Generally, the term ranges from 1 to 6 years. The maximum is 6 years for Pudong Development Bank and 10 years for Bank of China.
4. If the loan term is within one year (including one year), the principal and interest of the loan will be paid off in a lump sum when the loan expires. If the loan term is over one year (excluding one year), the principal and interest of the loan will be repaid in equal amount each month.
