One year’s living expenses for studying in Malaysia for master’s degree in 2023

To study abroad, students have to pay tuition fees and living expenses.

How much is the cost of living for a master’s degree in Malaysia?

Come here to see the specific cost of living abroad.

1, if the accommodation cost lives in the school dormitory, it is generally 700-800 Ma per month, if the off-campus rental, it is generally 450-600 Ma per month (most of the college does not have his student dormitory, students must rent a house outside the school to live).

Accommodation outside the campus can be located within walking distance of the college.

For the convenience of students who live far away, some colleges even provide bus service for students who travel between them on time.

In addition, students can also take public transportation, such as buses, taxis, regional buses and electric trains.

2. Meals usually cost RM4-5 for lunch and dinner, and RM2.5-3 for breakfast.

The living cost of studying abroad in Malaysia is not very high, the general price is twice that of the domestic, but there are many goods cheaper than the domestic, the cost of dining out will be the same as the domestic big cities or will be low.

3. Transportation costs + daily necessities vary from person to person depending on where they live. Generally, they can be accommodated or rented in the surrounding areas.

For ordinary students, the annual living expenses of students range from RM12,000 to RM20,000 (exchange rate is RM1 =1.5-1.8 yuan), which is a very normal personal life consumption. At this level, it can be said that the personal consumption level of middle-income families in Malaysia.

Apply for master’s degree in a public university in Malaysia: Bachelor’s degree, GPA3.0 or above;

Ielts 6-6.5, if you do not have an IELTS or TOEFL score approved by the university, you need to attend intensive English courses offered by the university, and then enter the specialized courses after passing.

Apply for master’s degree in a private university in Malaysia: Bachelor’s degree (including self-examination, adult education, etc.), with an average score of 70 or above;

Ielts 5.0-6.5 points, in which different schools have different requirements on language form. Students are advised to make clear the language form and language requirements recognized by the school and prepare accordingly.

To apply for private universities in Malaysia, most of them can accept the application without language scores. You should first study in the language class of the school, and then get the corresponding language scores before entering the professional courses.

Malaysian Public universities: Public universities have fewer opening times and require more time for students’ academic background, language scores and other overall requirements.

Therefore, students need to leave enough time for preparation (most of which can be in time for fall enrollment in September 2022) after comprehensive evaluation of their own conditions.

Private universities in Malaysia: Private universities usually open several times a year and have lower requirements for students as a whole. It is easier for students to apply for private universities (most of them can take courses in May and June).

1. International Recognition of Academic Qualifications and diplomas Malaysia follows the education system of Britain, Europe and the United States, and its educational standards and diplomas are recognized by well-known universities in Europe and the United States.

After finishing undergraduate studies, you can directly apply for graduate studies in universities in Britain, America, Australia and other countries.

Public universities in Malaysia allow students to study other foreign languages while in school, so students can graduate from Malaysian universities with three languages: Malay, English and another language.

2. Low Tuition fees in countries such as Britain and the United States, where tuition fees are soaring, also require high security deposits.

However, studying in Malaysia for a bachelor’s or master’s degree can not only obtain a diploma from a third country, such as Britain, America and Australia, but also the annual tuition and living expenses are only a quarter of those of European and American countries. Salaried people can also go abroad to study in famous universities.

3. Easy admission to the Second Home Program for Overseas Chinese + Children studying in Malaysia for at least two years = Overseas Chinese students with 400 points can be admitted to the double first-class universities in China.

4. The success rate of simple visa application is high. To study in Malaysia, IELTS and TOEFL are exempted, there is no requirement for college entrance examination, and no financial guarantee is required.

The application process will take two months.

(Students without basic English knowledge or English scores can first enroll in English courses at private schools, or enter relevant majors after passing the school’s internal language courses.)
