Syracuse University is excited to announce that applications for Spring 2026 study abroad programs will open on May 15. With over 60 destinations available, students have the chance to study in diverse locations, from vibrant cities to tranquil small towns across the globe.
For the second consecutive year, Syracuse Abroad has been ranked #8 in Study Abroad by U.S. News & World Report. The programs at the university’s centers in Florence, Italy; London, England; Madrid, Spain; Santiago, Chile; and Strasbourg, France, offer immersive experiences designed to foster global engagement and new perspectives.
Spring 2026 Program Highlights
Engineering Program in London, England: New for Spring 2026, this program offers second-year students in aerospace, biomedical, chemical, civil, computer, electrical, environmental, and mechanical engineering the opportunity to study a range of engineering and math subjects while being immersed in the UK’s diverse economic landscape.
English Immersion Program in Santiago, Chile: Students can explore the culture of Santiago while studying social sciences and humanities courses in English. The program also offers experiential learning opportunities such as internships, fieldwork, and travel experiences to destinations like Buenos Aires and Patagonia.
Whitman Core Program in London, England: The London Center: Whitman Core program allows second-year students in the Whitman School of Management to complete required core courses and electives while gaining exposure to London’s dynamic business environment.
French Language Studies in Strasbourg, France: Students with intermediate or advanced French language skills can engage in French language and culture studies at partner universities near the Syracuse center, including Science-Po Strasbourg and the University of Strasbourg.
World Partner Programs
Syracuse also offers World Partner programs, which allow students to choose from over 50 programs at partner institutions in cities across Australia, New Zealand, Asia, Africa, Europe, the Middle East, and Latin America. These programs cater to independent and curious students who seek unique global experiences, such as studying public health in India or exploring global oceans on a sailing vessel.
Preparing to Study Abroad
Applications for Spring 2026 programs will be open from May 15 to October 1, with rolling reviews for most programs. Students are encouraged to apply early, as some programs have limited capacity. Starting in Spring 2026, applicants will be required to submit multiple program choices in case their first choice reaches full capacity.
