MBA application Essay writing skills to share

Many business schools require applicants to submit an Essay of one to six essays.

Then how to write a good Essay?

In order to help you better construct and write essays, here are some tips to share with you.

It is essential that you fully understand the meaning of the questions and understand the purpose of the questions.

Keep in mind that there are no absolute answers and no wrong answers to these questions.

But why are schools asking these questions?

What did the school reviewers want from your answer?

Essay is the best way to let the review committee know more about your true self.

Here’s the school’s mission: to get a sense of who you are without looking at your GMAT score.

To successfully and clearly communicate your ideas to school reviewers, you must provide details.

But the level of detail in your answers should also be controlled.

This is why you need to think carefully about the meaning of the question: understand the meaning of the question thoroughly so that you can understand the idea that needs to be described in your answer.

2. How do you want readers to feel after reading your Essay?

The purpose of writing an Essay is to sell yourself.

Marketing yourself to schools is no different than marketing your product to a targeted customer base.

When promoting a product, in addition to understanding the needs and expectations of the customer, you must also be familiar with the characteristics of the product.

To link customer needs and expectations with product characteristics.

Similarly, when applying to a school, you must first find out the needs and expectations of the school reviewers and then determine whether your qualifications meet their needs and expectations.

To do this, you must create an appropriate topic for your Essay.

The purpose of a theme is to capture the reader’s interest and attention immediately.

And the subject must be very clear and direct.

Many students like to quote stories or parables at the beginning of their essays in order to attract readers’ attention.

Take, for example, the “autobiography” written by a student who, in the first paragraph, hopes to become a professional manager in the future and to contribute what he has learned to his native society after he gets his MBA.

Rather creatively, the author uses the Chinese Dragon Boat Festival as a metaphor for his goals for the future.

Traditionally, the procedure of dotting the dragon’s eyes is usually done by one of the members of the competition team before the competition begins.

This ritual symbolizes that the finishing touch can give life and energy to the dragon.

As a finishing touch, the author hopes to inject life and energy into the organization he works for.

3. Honesty is the best policy. Don’t exaggerate and disguise your true nature.

What are the reasons?

There is absolutely no need for you to do this.

Because the criteria for admission vary from person to person.

Specify your qualifications and emphasize those strengths.

Keep the tone positive and positive.

And you need to evaluate yourself honestly.

Write about areas where you need to improve and how the MBA program will improve you in these areas.

If you thought you were perfect in every way, you wouldn’t have to go to graduate school, would you?

If you don’t think you have anything to improve, what do you hope to get out of these classes?

No one is perfect.

Therefore, it is a good way to describe in detail why you need to study.

How you are going to be a better professional after you complete your studies and how this degree will enhance your professional qualifications.

A common mistake students make is to list only courses taken, extracurricular activities, and professional experiences without mentioning the role they played in those experiences and the importance of their influence on them.

And that information is actually the most important part of the school review.

It is not enough to list one’s academic experience.

Please be sure to describe your role in these courses, activities and jobs.

Write down exactly what you learned from the experience.

Explain how these experiences have affected your life and professional development.

Be specific when writing about these messages.

If necessary, choose to include less academic experience, and decide to include more details.

Being able to choose the right experience and having a clear theme is what matters.

5. Be Confident in yourself. Be confident in yourself, but not too proud of yourself.

The first step is to identify the qualities that make you stand out from the crowd of business school applicants.

At first, applicants may find it difficult to identify these traits, because the average person may think that his/her experience is mainstream, but his/her major subjects and industry are simply unremarkable.

What is it about you?

They do not know that their own characteristics are entirely in the reason for application.

Everyone has different reasons and goals.

Your personal journey may not be great, but your reasons for wanting to learn, and for choosing to learn at this stage of your life, are definitely different.

For most Asian students, it is obvious that the language spoken and written every day is not English.

To write a good Essay in English, you must think in English.

Never try to write an Essay in your native language and then translate it into English.

Because the writing process involves certain logic and inferences.

We recommend that you avoid using words that are too “hard”.

Many students mistakenly think that using difficult words will make a good impression on the reader.

We recommend that you try not to use unfamiliar or unfamiliar words.

The first reason is that if you misuse these words, the reader will quickly realize that you are not familiar with them.

The second reason is that using difficult words can sometimes backfire and make your text ambiguous.

Therefore, it is advisable to use familiar and familiar words.

For students with an engineering background, avoid writing proper nouns in your Essay.

Keep in mind that the reader is not an expert.

You should not cause the reader to suffer from indigestion.

Don’t make reading your article a chore.

So, avoid using words that you don’t think a non-expert would understand.

You can take the test by having your manuscript reviewed by someone with no relevant professional background.

Then, according to the advice of the reader, delete any proper nouns that do not understand, or use words that are easy to understand.
