How to improve the level of American study abroad documents

To study in the United States, you need to provide the paperwork, which is also very important and needs to be prepared well. So how to improve the paperwork for studying in the United States?

Here is a small edition to share for you, welcome to read.

The writing level of American undergraduate documents has a great relationship with the English level, but the English level does not play a decisive role. In particular, it should be noted that the TOEFL score and the writing of documents can not be directly equated.

A certain level of English comprehension and basic writing level is the foundation of document writing. Students must first consolidate the foundation before they can continue to study the expression skills and processing methods in terms of content.

2. Increase activities and experience Recall about 20 years of my life, list what meaningful and unique places I have experienced so far, and what people or events in my family life and social life have influenced my outlook on life and career pursuit?

What is different about these influences?

Take a piece of A4 paper and make a chronological list of The Times that you think have had a significant impact on you.

The difference between large and small papers is the number of words required, so students should never exceed the number of words.

Of course, too few words are not enough.

Therefore, the content is concise, clear, logical is the main points of the students to train the writing.

4. Find a Writing Style There is no limit to the subject matter, but there are many genres and styles of writing.

Students are advised to look for writing styles they are interested in while watching American TV series or English literature, and to experience American thinking and logic at the same time.

In this way, when the admissions officer reads your essay, it will not be “confused” because of “cultural differences” and will eventually “reject” you.

Whether it’s a large document or a small one, the appropriate use of detail allows the admissions officer to feel more deeply about your own experience, so that they can better understand how difficult something is and what it means to you.

6. Adjust the weights flexibly If there are more than one thing in the document, adjust the weights of each thing flexibly according to the actual situation.

For example, writing scientific research results aroused great response, assembling complex models for many times before success, working hard to win the gold medal in academic competition at the end of the year, and doing community public welfare was praised by residents. If the applied major is close to the scientific research results, then it is necessary to emphasize the scientific research part.

If the major you are applying for is compatible with the competition, focus on the competition;

If the major you apply for is not compatible with scientific research or competition, you can highlight two other things, showing your ability to work under pressure and solve problems, as well as your environmental protection concept or sense of public welfare.
