A detailed introduction to New Zealand Investment Immigration Class I and Class II in 2021

Immigrating to New Zealand through investment requires thousands of people to confirm their type, so that they are more competitive when they are ready.

Follow the small series here to take a look at the 2021 New Zealand investment immigration Class I and II detailed introduction.

1. Introduction of Class I and Class II Immigrants (1) New Zealand Investment immigrants Class I: high investment immigrants applying for New Zealand high investment immigrants first need to meet the basic condition of investment in New Zealand NZ $10 million.

To be honest, China now has quite a few RMB 40 million people (at the average exchange rate of NZD/RMB as of September 2015), but there is not much evidence of their source of funds or legitimacy.

The New Zealand government has always been very concerned about the source and legality of funding, SO those who can’t prove the source of funding don’t have to worry about it.

There is also the question of how Rmb40m could be moved out of China within a year, or two years and 24 months at most, given China’s current foreign exchange controls.

However, if you can 1) have more than NZ $10 million;

2) Your funds can prove their origin and legitimacy;

3) Your health and character are all right;

4) In the last two years of the three-year investment, you can live in New Zealand for 44 days each year. Then congratulations, you can get the permanent unconditional PR of New Zealand.

Let’s talk about the next type of investor visa procedures.

1) Complete material preparation;

2) Submit the immigration application to the Immigration Office, which will take about 3 months for approval;

3) The EOI is approved and the pre-approval letter is obtained;

4) Invest NZ $10 million in New Zealand through the banking system within 12 months (up to 24 months);

5) If necessary, you can apply for a 12-month work visa to come to New Zealand to look at investment projects, your spouse and children can apply for multiple entry visas, and your work visa can be renewed for up to another 12 months, i.e. 24 months.

You get a conditional PR one month after you’ve invested $10 million;

6) Get unconditional PR after 3 years of investment (stay in New Zealand for 44 days in each of the last 2 years).

The English name of New Zealand is Investor 2 Resident Visa, which belongs to the New Zealand immigrant Investor directory.

Investment immigration to New Zealand (II) capital requirements: II investment immigration to New Zealand, the applicant needs to put up 1.5 million New Zealand dollars for the minimum 4 years of investment in the immigration office approved projects, and the applicant also needs to prepare an additional NZ $1 million as the cost of settling in New Zealand.

Other basic requirements for investment immigration to New Zealand (Category II) : The applicant is under 65 years old;

Applicants should have at least 3 years of proven business experience;

The principal applicant must have a score of 3 in IELTS;

Applicants must go through the “immigration primary”, also known as EOI, conducted by Immigration New Zealand. Candidates who submit EOI applications will be randomly selected by Immigration New Zealand every two weeks. After winning, they need to submit formal immigration application materials within 4 months.

The investment amount of 1.5 million will need to be transferred to New Zealand within 12 months, and can prove that the transfer of funds to New Zealand and the principal applicant has a definite relationship;

The settlement fund of 1 million yuan does not need to prove its source, it can be transferred to New Zealand through various channels, and it can be directly used to buy real estate (after buying a house, as long as the value of the property is more than 1 million NZ dollars, the immigration office will accept it).

Additional applicants must get at least 3 points in IELTS. If they fail, they can pay the English learning fee in advance as proof.

Must be in New Zealand for at least 146 days per year during the second, third and fourth (final three) years of the 4-year investment period;

Be able to meet the requirements of Immigration New Zealand in terms of health.

2, the difference between the two. First, for the age requirements, the first type of investor is not any age limit, but the second type of investor is the applicant’s age can not be more than 65 years old.

2. Requirements for English level. For the first category of investment immigration applicants, there is no need to have any English level, and there is no requirement for educational background.

But for the second group of investors, it must require an IELTS score of 3 or above.

At the same time, the application conditions of the second type of investment immigration are also different from those of the first type.

Third, the investment amount is different. The first type of investor requires you to invest more than NZ $10 million in three years, while the second type of investor only needs to invest more than NZ $1.5 million in four years.

Relatively speaking, the second class of investors in the capital requirements of the threshold is lower.

And for the second type of investors, in order to be able to secure subsequent funds, they also need to have more than NZ $1 million in the bank.

There is no such requirement for the first type of investor.

For the first type of investor, you only need to live in New Zealand for forty-four days in the last two years, but for the second type of investor, the requirement is more strict, in the last three years, you need to live in New Zealand for one hundred and forty-six days.

5. The only similarity between the two methods is that the basic requirement for applicants is that they must be in good health and have a secure character.

That means no one with serious medical problems or a criminal record.

This is mainly to prove that you will not cause any harm to the people around you in New Zealand in the future.

6. More importantly, starting from this year, when submitting the letter of intent for the second type of investment, there will be a comprehensive score. The relevant departments in New Zealand will rank the scores from the highest to the bottom according to the evaluation, and if the scores are too low, they will reject the entry.
