What materials should be prepared for the entry of British students

Studying in the UK is currently on many students’ plans.

What materials do international students need to prepare when entering the UK?

Here to see the specific British students entry materials.

1. Valid passport with visa, air ticket, International Travel Health Examination Certificate and International Vaccination Certificate, school admission letter, financial proof documents, including money order or telegraphic transfer document, financial guarantee letter,

Proof of scholarship, degree/qualification certificate, IELTS or TOEFL transcript, relevant documents of accommodation in the UK, immigration registration card.

For all the important documents mentioned above, it is recommended to make two sets of copies for backup, just in case.

You can also carry 200-300 pounds in change, a map of the United Kingdom, and a guide book for studying abroad in Britain.

2, an important document ready to stay in the hands of domestic relatives, if domestic relatives and friends need to deal with some materials, such as visitation visas, can facilitate the relevant procedures.

If you lose your passport, you should report it to the police immediately, and then apply for a replacement at the Chinese Embassy in Britain after obtaining the loss certificate.

If you issued a money order, traveler’s check or credit card, please write down the number so that you can notify the bank immediately if you lose it.

3. Note: Passport and admission notice are required for entry and exit;

Keep your ID card with you;

Small change was for emergencies when he first arrived in England;

The money order is for tuition and accommodation;

Study abroad guides and maps are for ease of travel while living in the UK;

Other documents are essential for school registration.

Don’t put them in your checked baggage, keep them on your person for easy inspection.

Second, the airport entry to UK education must pay attention to the item 1, the UK port of entry with three channels: the British citizen channel (British passports), EU citizens channel (EU Countries) and other Countries citizens channel (other passports).

Chinese citizens shall choose the “Channel for citizens of other countries” to handle entry procedures.

2. If you come to the UK directly from a non-EU country, you are not allowed to bring into the UK: plants, vegetables, fresh meat, animals, controlled drugs, etc.

Carrying drugs, weapons, ammunition and other items is a serious offence.

3. If you are not quite sure what you can bring into the UK, do not bring it, lest it be confiscated or charged with a crime;

Or you can make specific inquiries directly with British Customs.

4. When Chinese citizens enter the UK, they should bring with them their passports, air tickets, invitation letters, address and contact information of their contacts in the UK.

5. If you come to the UK from an EU country, according to UK regulations, you can bring some items purchased in the EU market, such as meat and meat products, milk and milk products and fish.

6. Chinese citizens should answer truthfully if asked by British immigration officers during immigration formalities;

If you feel that you have been treated unfairly, you should express your attitude to the British immigration officer in person. You can also ask the British immigration officer for the convenience of contacting the Chinese embassy or consulate in the UK.

7. British Customs, like other countries, is divided into red and green channels.

Those WHO NEED to declare and pay taxes should walk red channel, while those who need not pay taxes walk green channel.

8. Non-uk citizens are allowed to bring in 200 cigarettes, 100 cigarillos or 50 cigars or 500 grams of tobacco duty-free;

One or two bottles of wine containing not more than 22% alcohol by volume;

50 ml of perfume and 250 ml of toilet water.

Persons under the age of 17 are not allowed to bring tobacco and alcohol products into China.

1. Pick up at the airport: After arriving in the UK, due to the unfamiliar environment and different languages, it is inevitable to feel strange and insecure. Therefore, it is best for international students to travel with a number of fellow travelers.

Arrange pick-up service at home.

Generally, universities have free airport pickup service during the semester, but the time is limited, so sometimes you need to arrange it yourself.

And don’t forget to take jet lag into account when planning your trip.

Try to arrive in the morning or early afternoon, as some British transport stops overnight.

During the day, when traffic is most frequent and banks and shops are at work, people who arrive in the UK during the day can head to school and settle down as soon as possible.

2. Accommodation arrangement: If it is the school dormitory, you can directly go through relevant procedures to check in.

If it is a rental, has rented a good direct entry can, no rent, need to stay in the hotel, and then look for rental information.

If it’s a host family, it’s a good idea to get in touch with a contact on the way to make sure someone is home.

3. Report safety: After entering the UK or arriving at the school, please remember to call your parents and family to let them know that you are safe, so that your relatives will not worry about you.

4, school registration: after settling down, take all the relevant documents area school registration, some airport pick-up services include taking students to register, the website suggests using this way, more convenient and easy.

Another important thing is to have the school produce a letter confirming your student status, length of schooling, and listed address.

This letter is very important. You need it to open an account, register with the police, apply for a Schengen visa, etc.

5, police registration: British regulations: the first time to arrive in the UK and need to stay in the UK for more than six months, must go to the local police for registration within seven days.

Foreign students are clearly on the list.

To register, you need your passport, two passport photos, a ¡ê34 registration fee, your offer letter and address, and a registration form to complete when you register.

This form should be kept well after handling, in the future life, every time the address change, renewal or other registration information change, need to go to the police station to register again, again registration is not charged.
