Go to Australia to study abroad to work what matters needing attention

Because of Australia’s good environment, leading education and strong comprehensive strength in all aspects, there are also a large number of students who study in Australia. Some students study part-time in order to better exercise their abilities. What are the precautions for studying and working in Australia?

1, when I first arrived in Australia, because of the difficult language and conditions, very few students in 3 months to find a suitable job.

After all, the primary goal of students studying abroad is to study and train. It is not recommended that students work too early in order to avoid jeopardizing their studies.

Most students gradually look for weekend jobs after three months.

2. If you are applying for a student visa, from April 26, 2008, the student visa to Australia will be approved for working.

3. Working hours for visa application must be above 18 years old. Working student visa application is allowed.

Violators have their school records revoked.

The university requires that you work no more than 20 hours a week, not limited to summer vacation.

The minimum wage is A $10 per hour.

Note: If the assignment you are taking is an internship required by a school program, then it is not under 20 hours.

(There are some academic disciplines that include internships, which foreign students may take if they are part of an approved course and if they are registered.)

Even if you are a volunteer and you are not paid, you can work within 20 hours.

4. When international students come to Australia to study and start working, they are exposed to Australian tax laws.

Note: You need to show relevant documents to apply for tax number. If you submit the application with your passport and visa as valid documents, you need to apply in person.

The report forms applied for are available at post offices and tax company offices all over the country.

5, if you start to work, the employer will stipulate that you have been given the tax number within 28 days.

6, a hint!

Many institutions in Australia require attendance, which is less than 80% and can result in expulsion.

When applying for a job in Australia, if the employer requires you to bring the corresponding gender, age, nationality, height and weight, marital status, etc., this is not allowed, it is against the rules!

As there is a clear regulation in Australia that all workers are equal, employers must only choose whether to hire employees according to their professional ability, but not according to the international, gender, skin color, marital status and so on.

In the event of a labor dispute, legal sanctions to protect themselves, although in Australia it is very rare to have an individual act of unpaid pay.

In addition, the undergraduate education system of Australia is 3-4 years and the master education system of Australia is 1-2 years, which is shorter than that of Chinese universities. It has certain advantages in terms of employment age and performance price ratio.

The short length of schooling does not mean that the learning pressure is small. The curriculum of Australian universities is very compact, which is not down-to-earth and can be eliminated in a minute. Therefore, the gold content of Australian university diploma is recognized globally.

2. Stable society and low crime rate: Australia is one of the countries with the lowest crime rate in the world. It has a good welfare system and few social conflicts.

Surrounded by the sea and far from the mainland, Australia’s unique geographical position keeps it safe from global wars and infectious diseases.

The stable political situation in Australia can also make parents feel at ease about the safety of their children’s independent study and growth in a foreign country.

3. High visa overapplication rate: The visa overapplication rate in Australia is relatively high. Electronic visa reduces the average visa processing time to about 30 days.

For students, visa is a very important link.
