South Korea study part-time income and basic expenses about how much money

More and more Chinese students choose to study in South Korea due to its proximity to home, excellent education and similar culture.

So how much is the income and basic expenses of studying part-time in South Korea?

Here is the answer for you immediately.

Foreign students with D-2 visas are required to work no more than 20 hours per week (Monday to Friday) and no more than 30 hours for master’s and doctoral programs. They are allowed to take part-time jobs at a maximum of two places.

There is no limit to the number of part-time hours and places on public holidays (Saturday, Sunday) and holidays.

However, in order to prevent students from delaying their studies due to part-time work, South Korea requires students to provide an attendance sheet when applying for a part-time job, and only when the attendance rate is above 90% can they work.

The minimum wage for this year is 8,590 won (51 yuan) per hour, the Ministry of Employment and Labor said in its official gazette.

If the part-time job is calculated as 20 hours per week, the monthly salary is 4,100 yuan;

During the winter and summer holidays, I work eight hours a day from Monday to Friday and earn a minimum of 8,200 yuan a month.

1. Tutor teaches twice a week for 1 hour each time. The remuneration is equivalent to 150-250 yuan per hour. If you do 2-3 tutor jobs, you can pay all the expenses of studying abroad.

As a tutor, you can have free time, earn a considerable amount of money, and ensure enough time for study, which is the best choice for work-study programs.

2, restaurant work is easy to find, but the pay is low, about 30 yuan per hour, the work is hard.

3. Convenience store Working in a convenience store, mainly responsible for the cashier and taking care of goods. The salary is similar to that of a restaurant, so I can experience the daily life of Korean people and learn the language, but it is also hard.

4, the site to the local labor market application, work eight hours a day, the day settlement of wages, usually the site to provide breakfast, lunch two meals, the daily compensation is equivalent to 400~600 yuan, this job is suitable for more robust boys.

5. Chinese Language Institutes There are many private institutes in Korea, and Chinese has become the most popular foreign language after English in foreign language institutes, so there is a large demand for Chinese language instructors.

The remuneration is also good, a month can be equivalent to more than 6000~8000 yuan.

(5-6 hours per week) 6, part-time tour guides need to have a certain foundation of Korean, understand all aspects of knowledge in Korea, to travel agencies as a part-time tour guide, the income is considerable.

Tourists from mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan dominate South Korea, so Chinese-speaking guides are in short supply.

7. Korean companies use holidays to work in the overseas department of the company for a period of time. On the one hand, they can get relatively stable income, and on the other hand, they can understand and experience the basic operation of Korean companies and the life of wage earners.

The monthly income is usually equivalent to RMB6000-8000.

2, South Korea study abroad basic consumption 1, accommodation costs South Korea study in accommodation, and other countries, can live in the school dormitory, can also rent a house, the price difference is not big, generally in the month 2000 yuan or so, sharing outside will be more cost-effective.

Accommodation costs vary widely by region, ranging from 1,500 to 2,000 yuan per month in Seoul to 800 to 1,000 yuan per month in local cities.

2. The transportation cost is 600 won (3-5 yuan) in South Korea.

Subway fares start at 600 won (about 3 yuan) per mile;

Taxi fares start at 2,400 won (about 13 won).

It is generally recommended to choose accommodation near the school, avoid going to school by car, convenient and easy to save money.

3. Cost of meals in Seoul for example, the set meal is about 12 to 30 yuan per meal. The dishes vary from day to day, but the essential dishes are white rice, kimchi and soup.

Some dormitories are self-catering, while others include meals as part of their accommodation fee.

Sunmoon University, for example, charges 1400 yuan per month for accommodation and provides breakfast and dinner from Monday to Thursday and breakfast on Friday.

Eating a simple meal out will cost around 50 yuan a day on average, but cooking by yourself will be much cheaper and give you a taste of home.

Overall, the average monthly cost of food in South Korea is 1,500 yuan.

The above are calculated in accordance with the minimum wage, so the students in the part-time salary will generally be higher than this number.

Having said the salary, let’s talk about what kind of jobs are suitable for us overseas students.

1. Tutoring is one of the more relaxing part-time jobs, but the demand for language is high.

Overseas students can choose to do Korean, English, Mandarin tutoring.

Tutors usually cost 15,000 to 30,000 won per hour (90 to 200 yuan per hour), depending on the ability, and the higher the general language level, the higher the salary.

2. Shopping Guide South Korea is the sixth largest outbound country for Chinese tourists. Cosmetics and duty-free shops have great demand for Chinese students.

Shopping guide, cashier and other jobs are very good salary, generally can reach 20,000 monthly salary, Korean language requirements are not high, as long as you know cosmetics, very suitable for girls.

3, translation translation is a technical work, the language requirements are very high, and the salary is also very high.

If you are not afraid of hard work, it is suggested that students spend more time to try in the early stage, which can not only make money but also improve their language ability, so as to prepare for future employment.

In addition to the above jobs, students can also choose appropriate part-time jobs according to their own professional situation and future employment direction, so as to make adequate preparations for finding a job after graduation.
