1. A recent bareheaded photo and the completed Application Form for Chinese Nationals to Go Abroad for Private Purposes;
2. Resident ID card, household register and copies;
During the period of obtaining, changing and replacing resident identity cards, they may submit temporary resident identity cards, household register and their copies;
3. Citizens under the age of 16 shall be accompanied by their guardians, and submit their opinions on leaving China issued by their guardians, their resident ID cards or household register, passports and copies;
4. State personnel shall, in accordance with relevant regulations, submit the certificate of consent to exit the country issued by their work units or superior competent units after approval in accordance with the authority of personnel management;
5. Other documents required by the exit/entry administration of public security organs under provincial local people’s governments for approval by the exit/entry administration of the Ministry of Public Security.
When applying for ordinary passports, servicemen in active service shall go through the procedures for approval in accordance with their administrative authority and submit the application to the Exit and Entry Administration authority of the public security organ of the local people’s government at or above the county level in the garrison.
For a Chinese citizen permanently residing abroad, an application for the renewal or replacement of an ordinary passport shall be submitted by him/herself (for a citizen under the age of 16, he/she shall be accompanied by his/her guardian) to the Chinese embassy or consulate in charge of the area where he/she is located.

For the government-sent overseas students (including the government-sent overseas students and the government-sent overseas students), the county/city Exit and Entry Administration authorities shall apply for a passport with the completed Passport Registration Form for Government-Sent Overseas Students.
2. If you are traveling abroad with a group, you must register with a travel agency with the right to travel abroad, and apply for a passport with the invoice of full travel costs issued by the travel agency to the Exit and Entry Administration department of the county or city where your hukou is located;
If you are traveling at your own expense, you need to deposit the equivalent of $4,000 in international currency at the bank and apply for a passport with the bank deposit slip at the county and city immigration authorities.
3. Adopted children who want to live abroad with their adoptive parents should apply for a passport at the Exit and Entry Administration Department of the provincial Public Security Department with the adoption registration letter issued by the provincial civil Affairs Department of Guangdong Province, the original passport or other ID card of the adopter (copy submitted for examination).
4. Foreign labor service personnel who are handled by the labor service company shall apply for passports to the county/city Exit and Entry Administration department with the description of the labor service item issued by the labor service company with the right to send foreign labor service;
If an overseas employment service agency assists in handling overseas employment, the applicant shall apply for a passport to the county or city Exit and Entry Administration department on the basis of the employment contract signed between the applicant and the overseas employer confirmed by the overseas employment service agency with the right of management of overseas employment.

On the day of collecting evidence, the applicant shall collect the documents at the exit/entry reception hall with the “Application Receipt for Private Exit/Entry Certificate” and the payment receipt, along with the resident ID card or household register.
After receiving the certificate, please carefully check the contents of the certificate, and correct any errors in time.
On behalf of others: The representative shall bring the “Application Receipt for Private Overseas (China) Certificate”, his/her ID card and the copy of the applicant’s ID card to the Exit and Entry Administration Department to get the passport.
Door-to-door express delivery: If you want to choose door-to-door express delivery, you must go to the express post counter in the Immigration Administration Office on the day of passport application with the Return Receipt of the Overseas Travel Certificate for Private Purposes and pay the express delivery fee.
The scope of express delivery shall be subject to the regulations of the local immigration administration.
