What are the procedures and procedures for studying abroad in New Zealand

Singapore is a popular destination for international students who want to pursue higher education. One of the advantages of studying in Singapore is the opportunity to work in the country after graduation. In this article, we’ll explore the rules and regulations around working in Singapore after studies.

  • Employment Pass

If you want to work in Singapore after studies, you’ll need to apply for an Employment Pass (EP). The EP is a work visa that is issued by the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) to foreign professionals, managers, and executives who are working in Singapore.

To be eligible for an EP, you need to have a job offer from a Singaporean employer. The job offer should be for a position that is related to your field of study, and the employer should apply for the EP on your behalf.

It’s important to note that getting an EP can be difficult, and the eligibility criteria are strict. You’ll need to have a good academic record, relevant work experience, and a high salary in order to be considered.

  • S Pass

If you don’t meet the eligibility criteria for an EP, you can also consider applying for an S Pass. The S Pass is a work visa that is issued to mid-level skilled workers who earn a fixed monthly salary of at least SGD 2,500 and meet other eligibility criteria.

To be eligible for an S Pass, you need to have a job offer from a Singaporean employer. The job offer should be for a position that is related to your field of study, and the employer should apply for the S Pass on your behalf.

It’s important to note that the eligibility criteria for an S Pass are also strict, and you’ll need to meet certain educational qualifications and work experience requirements.

  • Entrepreneur Pass

If you’re interested in starting your own business in Singapore, you can also consider applying for an Entrepreneur Pass (EntrePass). The EntrePass is a work visa that is issued to foreign entrepreneurs who are starting or running a business in Singapore.

To be eligible for an EntrePass, you need to have a viable business idea, and your business should meet certain criteria such as innovation, potential for job creation, and scalability. You’ll also need to have relevant business experience and meet other eligibility criteria.

In conclusion, working in Singapore after studies is possible, but it’s important to understand the rules and regulations around work visas. You’ll need to have a job offer from a Singaporean employer or a viable business idea in order to be eligible for a work visa. It’s important to check the eligibility criteria for each type of work visa and to make sure that you meet the requirements before applying.
