What do you need to know about entry and exit to study in Germany

For students who apply to study in Germany, they should also know something about the entry.

So let’s talk about the entry of German students need to pay attention to.

First of all, the inbound students are not allowed to carry weapons, such as knives and guns, etc. Due to special reasons, these items have to be brought, and they need to be checked in together with the bulky luggage before check-in to avoid being detained by the customs.

Secondly, according to the German system, passengers from non-EU countries who want to enter the country can carry personal necessities within 58 and 8 euros without tax.

Since customs officials can not accurately grasp the value of each item, students are free to play.

In addition, Germany also has duty-free regulations for special products such as tobacco and alcohol, but students must be at least 17 years old to bring alcohol and tobacco.

It is important to note that there is a limit on the number of cigarettes and alcohol that students can bring into Germany. Therefore, it is better to carry cigarettes and alcohol separately when they go through the entry procedures. Otherwise, they will be mistaken for one person’s goods, and the excess weight will be taxed.

Third, international students entering Germany are forbidden to bring fresh meat, weapons, ammunition and other items, which is the place that international students need to pay attention to.

1. Valid passport, visa and round-trip ticket.

2. An invitation letter or admission letter from a school in Germany that can prove the purpose of the applicant to enter Germany.

3. Documents that can prove the address and contact information of the entry applicant during his stay in Germany, and the address and telephone number of the contact person in Germany of the entry applicant are also required.

When the above materials enter the German customs, the staff there will be a strict review of these materials.

When entering Germany, there is also an interrogation procedure after the personnel there have checked the information of the person entering the country.

It is often the German border inspection officers who routinely question foreign arrivals.

When asking the entry personnel should pay attention to, if they do not understand German or the other side of the prosecutor said the question can not understand, can refuse to answer, and then apply for the other side to provide Chinese translation.

Don’t nod your head in a vague way, and don’t sign the documents you don’t understand.

3. German student visa: Visa location is the audit department (also available to the consulate).

You must have an APS audit certificate and an offer of admission from a accredited university in Germany or a DSH examination.

You don’t have to sign it in person.
