Content and key points of resume writing for undergraduate study in Canada

To apply for undergraduate study in Canada, students need to prepare their own study abroad documents, among which the resume is the most important.

Today here to tell you about the Canadian resume writing content and key points.

First of all, decide which major you want to apply for.

Be sure to identify your major or similar subjects before writing your resume.

Don’t dream about going to your own college.

This college takes this course, and that college applies for that course.

Don’t choose subjects that don’t interest you just to get into a good college.

Second, optimize your resume by comparing and identifying.

With your major in mind, find several resumes from the same subject in the past.

Please find at least three copies for comparison and identification.

You may not see a set pattern, but you should be aware of the basic qualities of studying the subject, such as books in the field, or work experience.

If so, how much.

In other words, a standard resume includes the following: 1) overview of the topic 2) how fascinated I am about the topic and why I am so fascinated 3) relevant basic knowledge and work experience 4) Other hobbies in life 3) We have received many years of education in China and are slightly deficient in language and comprehensive skills.

Students should pay attention to the use of their own language when writing, and try to use the language close to the native expression.

1, no matter what the content is, the resume should be summarized in the most concise language, do not appear large paragraphs.

The appearance of a resume can still affect the mood of the person looking at it, so try to make it look good, but it doesn’t have to be fancy and concise.

2. Other basic personal information, such as gender, age, nationality, time of birth and place of birth, is voluntarily provided by the applicant in the resume. If the information has been asked in the online application system, there is little need to reiterate it in the resume.

A profile can be used to describe you in a sentence or two. If you use it well, it can be useful, but if you don’t, it will be useless.

4. High school is not very important in educational background.

If you have a gold medal in the International Olympic Games in high school, it is still worth mentioning. If you have a gold medal in the international Olympic Games in high school, it is still worth mentioning.

5. Research experience, project experience, etc., briefly summarize what you did and what you contributed, don’t describe it in detail like in PS.

6. Cite papers (conferences, journals, etc.), pay attention to the format.

7. Internship/work experience in a well-known company is certainly helpful to Shen, and it is a reflection of personal ability.

8, for high school undergraduate students, it is best not to repeat the contents of the resume and other documents, to write some other content will not be involved in things, as far as possible to reflect the quality of students.

9. The way to write a resume for undergraduate students is similar to the way to write a resume for graduate students. The difference lies in the type of information provided and the proportion of this information.

10. Write something on your resume that makes the admissions officer think you’re unique, “personal,” and specific, and that you’re here for the school.

1. A Personal Statement for Studying in Canada A personal statement is used by the tutor to obtain general information about the applicant during the process of applying for a master’s degree in Canada.

The personal statement should be clear. Applicants should also be clear about whether they like the major, how much they like it, and what they think of the future.

Personal statement is not long, 600-800 English words are good.

Carefully manage relationships with other documents.

2. The letter of recommendation reviews the applicant from a three-party perspective.

Usually, two to three letters of recommendation will be prepared.

For the application of research courses, especially PhD applications, at least two of the three letters of recommendation should be academic recommendation, and two of them should be recommended by professors or teachers. The recommendation mainly focuses on academic ability and research ability, taking into account extracurricular activities and social activities.
