What are the conditions for Chinese primary school students to study in the United States

The students studying abroad are becoming younger and younger. The education system in the United States is different from that in China. It pays more attention to heuristic education, and the education atmosphere is free and attaches importance to students’ self-thinking ability.

Many parents will choose to let their children go to the United States to study in primary school, so what are the conditions for Chinese primary school students to study in the United States?

Here is a small series to introduce you.

If primary school students want to study in the United States, they should have guardians.

In the United States, students under the age of 18 must have a guardian to study in the United States. The guardian can be a parent with a green card or another legal citizen with a green card. The guardian can also be recommended by the school.

In the United States, guardians need to take greater responsibility to ensure that feeding and transporting students are the most basic issues.

Some schools also specifically require guardians to live near the school or in the same school as the child.

If parents want to travel to the United States but do not have a green card or long-term visa, they can apply for a B2 accompanying visa to enter the country. After the six-month visa expires, they can re-apply for exit or apply for an extension within the United States.

2. Visa conditions in the United States, only American citizens.

Long-term visa or green card holders can apply to study in public schools.

If the parents have an L/H/J/F visa, the child can also apply for a subsidiary visa to attend public schools, but B2 visas are not supported. The child of a B visa holder can apply for private schools.

3. The cost requires that American elementary schools arrive at 8 a.m., usually in one of three ways: parents or guardians pick them up by car.

Request a ride and walk to school.

Boarding costs at private schools range from $35,000 to $50,000 a year, and lodging costs from $10,000 to $30,000.

2. Advantages of studying abroad children have a short adaptation period, almost no English burden, and can quickly adapt to the learning environment in the United States, which is very conducive to growing up in the American education environment.

In their future studies in middle school, high school and college, they simply do not adapt and integrate into the United States.

The arrangement of elementary schools in the United States is different from that in China. Children are rearranged in different classes every new semester.

The advantage of this is that children can meet more friends and deal with more people.

On the one hand to achieve a wide range of friends, on the other hand also improved the ability to communicate.

American education is to cultivate children’s independence.

The way of five or six years a class is to cultivate children’s collectivism spirit, and the United States itself is a society that advocates self and attaches importance to individuality.

American primary schools attach great importance to communication with parents and encourage parents to actively participate in school life.

It is held every year in American elementary schools.

A “carnival” or open house is a school day where parents are invited to visit the campus and watch performances by teachers and students. There are many activities where parents are required to attend with their children.

It provides a great opportunity for teachers, parents and children to communicate.

In addition, many parents in American elementary schools are volunteers to serve their children.

In fact, the main characteristics of American primary education are to respect children’s personality and interest, to cultivate children’s comprehensive ability, to cultivate their strong sense of social participation, to cultivate their future-based ability, and to cultivate their attitude of independence and self-esteem.

Take care of your child’s heart, constantly challenge and tap your child’s potential, and let your child be proud of being the best rather than the first.
