What are the application requirements for graduate students in Computer science

Graduate computer science in the UK is popular with many international students and highly competitive.

There are many schools in the UK offering computer science courses, and they have their own advantages.

Students who choose to study computer science in the UK want to choose a good school.

The following Xiaobian to introduce the UK computer science graduate student application requirements are what.

1. The UK Computer science graduate application requires 1 year of study, the tuition fee is 26,850 pounds per year, starting in September, IELTS 6.5 (listening 6, reading 6, writing 6, speaking 6), TOEFL 92 (listening 21, reading 22, writing 21, speaking 23),

2. University of Cambridge – Computer Science Program Name: Advanced Computer Science Mphil School: Department of Computer Science and Technology Duration: 9 months

The University of Cambridge is ranked sixth globally and second in the UK for computing by QS.

MPhil ACS is a 9-month program located in the Department of Computer Science and Technology. This program is specifically for high-achieving PhD students.

Research and learning in the Department’s computer laboratory covers the fields of artificial intelligence, computer architecture, graphics and interaction, natural language and information processing, programming, logic and semantics, security, and systems research.

The course provides students with a comprehensive understanding of computer technology and its application to their chosen field. It also deepens their understanding of knowledge in their chosen field. It encourages students to show some self-direction and originality in problem solving and to learn to act autonomic in the planning and implementation of research.

Courses include: lecture component + thematic research paper + 12-unit research proposal (including written English and oral presentation training) + Practical component — Project research (interdisciplinary) Language requirements: IELTS 7.5, with a minimum of 7 on each item, or TOEFL 110+, with a minimum of 25 on each item

Bachelor’s degree in computer or mathematics related major, 985/211 average score above 90%, double non-average score above 95% Other: Math level is recommended to reach A, it is better to have experience in computer projects or work experience Employment Situation Schools and colleges will organize career fairs, where you can have close contact with enterprises.

In addition, there will be some opportunities to get to know alumni. I think it depends on personal initiative to seize the opportunities and resources.

In addition, some Chinese enterprises, such as Tencent, Huawei and Country Garden, will also hold job fairs in Cambridge. There will also be many job fairs for Chinese enterprises in London, so there will be many opportunities to contact domestic enterprises.

Past Chinese students have stayed in the UK and returned home.

I think whether to work in the UK or not depends mainly on personal intention and initiative.

If you really want to stay in the UK, take the initiative to attend career fairs and pay more attention to the job information, you are still very hopeful to stay.

Employment: One of the most important things to use in employment is networking, and Cambridge Business School provides a great network of alumni contacts.

You can log in to your Cambridge account, find out the contact details of seniors who have graduated, and if they happen to be in the industry or company you are interested in, you can contact them and ask them to help you with internal promotion.

Or if you have any questions about employment, talk to alumni in your field.

University of Oxford – Computer Science Program Name: Computer Science MSc Program Duration: 1 year (Full time)

The programme is designed to teach the mathematical principles of specification, design and efficient use of hardware and software. It is suitable for computer science graduates as well as those with programming training or experience in other mathematical disciplines.

In terms of time, the teaching is divided into three terms, and the specific curriculum setting of the final project research is also divided into three stages. The school selection principle of this major is: at most two courses can be selected from Schedule A and Schedule C, and at most four courses can be selected in one Term.

Language Requirements: IELTS 7.5 (at least 7.0 in each subject), TOEFL 110 (at least 22 in listening, at least 24 in reading and writing, and at least 25 in speaking) Background: Basic math and computer programming skills required Background: No GRE or GMAT score required;

Available careers for computer science graduates include computer programmers, software designers and engineers, as well as financial analysts and researchers.

Oxford University computer science graduates are among the highest paid of their peers six months after graduating, a report has revealed.

Study life: Oxford students study from 9am to 5pm, and then relax for the rest of the day.

This kind of life is very much like working.

I think a lot of my English friends could do that.

I’d like to be able to do that, but not with the discipline that they have.

Even if they play late at night, they still get to the library before me in the morning.

And since every college has a library and dining hall (some colleges have large ones, others like mine are small), by about 4pm, you will see some students wearing sleepwear.

Examination setting: Oxford exams only once a year, some major only once two years, usually can not only follow one’s inclinations to learn also can follow one’s inclinations to play, completely do not have to be affected by the curriculum setting.

But the final exam for those not studied well is definitely judgement day as well.

Combining the whole subject into a single exam paper, the exam requires a complete understanding of the subject.

70+ is 1st, 60-70 is 2.1, 50-60 is 2.2, some subjects are 40 points and some subjects are 30 points pass.

Students who can take a 70+ test are those with excellent results. Maybe 80+ can be called learning God.

Computing Science MSc Course Length: 1 Year Course offering one year of intensive training in computer science for non-computer science graduates preparing to work in the computer industry.

Applicants who want to qualify or retrain as computer professionals are the target of the program, which can also provide appropriate preparation for doctoral research.

Courses provide postgraduate students with the opportunity to develop and demonstrate knowledge, understanding and practical skills in computing, as well as the qualities and skills needed for group work, literature search, technical presentation and report writing.

Students also have the opportunity to participate in the development of large software projects.

Applicants should have an undergraduate degree (4-year program) from a recognized university with an average of at least 80%.

The school has strong relationships with many major employers of computer science graduates, not just software and communications companies such as Microsoft, IBM, HP, Amazon, Google and Philips, but also financial computer users.

These include GoldmanSacks, Bloomberg, UBS, BarCap, Credit Suisse and Deutsche Bank.

Many of its graduates then choose to go on to work for small IT companies, and many have started their own businesses.

Some graduates enter management consulting or accounting careers, where a good knowledge of computers can be an advantage;

Some work in corporate strategy and marketing or as business analysts in investment banks and stockbrokers.

Life in London: Life in London is very pleasant, because there are delicious food from all over the world, comfortable living environment and rich cultural scenery.

In Chinatown, you can buy Chinese ingredients or other domestic products.

In Oxford Street, you can buy all kinds of fashionable designer clothes.

Good seafood at low prices can be found near earlscourt.

UCL – Computer Science Programme Name: Computer Science MSc School: School of Engineering Duration: 1 year Programme fee: ¡ê28410 Course offering The programme strikes a balance between computer science theory and practical software engineering skills, including teamwork for industrial or research clients.

Students complement the first degree program with computer science knowledge, leading to interdisciplinary industrial positions and doctoral research.

Students are expected to supplement their learning knowledge with additional research and personal work.

During the course, students will learn modules in computer architecture, databases, data structures and algorithms to learn basic aspects of how computers work. Students will also gain practical knowledge in the fields of human-computer interaction, application design and software engineering, as well as programming skills to develop modern languages.

Background: Non-computer science or information technology background is acceptable, with appropriate mathematical skills (at least level A in mathematics) and analytical skills. Applicants must have good computational thinking skills. Language: IELTS requires a total score of 7.0 and a minimum score of 6.5;

The school’s connections to the industry are very strong, and Career Service has many events almost every week where people from the industry are invited to speak.

In addition, if students have any questions about finding a job, they can make an appointment with Career service, which offers one-to-one counseling services ranging from determining which job to apply for, revising CV, to mock interviews.

UCL’s computer reputation is good in Europe. Most of its graduates work as consultants in world-renowned IT consulting companies, systems analysts in banks, and IT technical support in manufacturing industries, which are well recognized by employers.

Location: The best part is that it is located in central London, with Kings Cross Station for Harry Potter and San Pancras International for Eurostar. It’s easy to get to and from anywhere.

There are about thirty thousand students in the school. Even five or six libraries on the main campus are not enough.

I don’t know if it is because of the graduate students, our classrooms are very scattered, most of them are not on the main campus, it can take 20 minutes to walk from A to B.
