What types of scholarships are available at Korean universities

Scholarship is offered by every university, which is an encouragement for outstanding students. The types of scholarship are different from school to school in different countries. Let’s learn more about the types of scholarship offered by Korean universities.

What Types of Scholarships are available at South Korean Universities 1. South Korean University Scholarships Many South Korean universities offer a wide variety of scholarships for international students, and most universities offer 30-100% tuition reduction for outstanding international students.

2. Government Scholarship This is a national scholarship selection program invited by the Korean government in accordance with the Korea-China Educational exchange Agreement signed by the Ministry of Education of Korea and China.

The Korea Institute for International Education Promotion (KICAI) selects up to 50 winners each year from candidates who go to Korea for master’s or doctoral programs or research programs (six months to one year).

3. National Scholarships Today, South Korea has dramatically reduced tuition for college students, allowing more students to receive a higher and better education.

Of course, this policy is for all South Korean college students, including foreign students in South Korea.

Second, South Korea has set up scholarships of different levels and amounts for international students to encourage more outstanding students.

Application for national scholarships requires proof of personal relevance and can also be obtained through an application submitted by a school department.

If you can get a letter of recommendation from a professional professor, you have a good chance of getting a full national scholarship.

4.K21 (Korea 21 Brains) Scholarship This is a major project of the Korean government to improve the research environment of universities.

From 1999 to 2005, the South Korean government will allocate 1.4 trillion won ($140 million) to the program, which will mainly be used to improve the living and research conditions of graduate students at various universities.

In other words, give them scholarships.

1. The most important aspect of academic performance is, of course, the student’s performance in school, especially the examination result, which is the focus of everyone’s preparation.

In the usual study, you have to work hard, this is the main work of students.

Of course, there are optional subjects as well as compulsory ones.

The meaning of existence is not only to complete the credits, but also to improve your GPA to a certain extent.

2. Language ability In terms of language, both the English and Korean scores are approved by the applicant.

After preparing the language washing, everyone needs to do it according to their own actual situation, and generally Korean scores will be more recognized.

When applying for academic scholarships, the Korean language can directly determine your tuition fee reduction rate.

Of course, you don’t have to worry, because this scholarship is only open to international students, domestic students are not eligible to apply.

3. Special attention should be paid to the preparation of documents, especially recommendation letters, because a high-quality recommendation letter will make auditors pay more attention to the applicant, so as to enhance their competitiveness.

So when selecting judges early on, you can set your sights high.

Higher-ranking professors or mentors who have been effective in their fields of research will have an advantage.

4. Social practice finally refers to various experiences outside school.

Colleges and universities attach great importance to students’ practical ability, because it can show students’ development potential and see their achievements more clearly.

The amount of participating in social practice and the results obtained in practice will be more conducive to the demonstration of everyone’s ability.

1. The language school in South Korea has four semesters a year. The cost of studying abroad in South Korea is about 8500-9000 RMB per semester, that is, about 35,000 RMB per year.

Note: Students are not allowed to apply for scholarships at the language Institute, so the cost of studying in Korea is borne by the students themselves.

2. The undergraduate program is a four-year program with two semesters a year. The cost of studying in South Korea is about 20,000 RMB per semester.

During the undergraduate period, students are awarded scholarships based on academic performance, mainly in the form of tuition waivers.

Typically you will apply for between 30 and 100 percent of the scholarship.

3. The postgraduate program is two years, with two semesters a year.

The tuition of South Korean graduate students is relatively high, a semester tuition in about 30,000 yuan.

The difference is that the scholarship for graduate students will be relatively high, generally can apply for 50% of the scholarship, some schools even provide free dormitory as part of the scholarship.
