University of Stirling Scholarship application details

The University of Stirling is one of the most innovative, beautiful and outstanding national universities in the UK and one of the top universities in Scotland.

It is a university that truly embraces both traditional and modern disciplines, with the best college of education and sports in the UK;

Here is a short list of scholarships for the University of Stirling.

Scholarship Name: Stirling Graduate Discount Scheme: Applicants must be alumni of the University of Stirling. Applicants must apply for a higher level degree programme and cannot apply in conjunction with any other scholarship Amount: 10% fee reduction

Advanced Computing Scholarship:

Must have Indian or Chinese nationality Must apply for the MSc in Advanced Computing must complete the application form and submit a personal statement (showing how the scholarship will benefit you and your future career development) Amount: ¡ê3,000

Scholarships must be available for admission MSc in Finance degree programs You must complete an application form and submit a personal statement indicating the value of the scholarship to you and your future career development.

Scotland’s Saltire Scholarships Applicants must hold one of the following passports: 1.

The People’s Republic of China 3 India 4 United States Applicants who are able to pay full tuition must be enrolled in a graduate program Students applying for distance learning programs are not eligible to apply for this Scholarship Amount: 2000 pounds per year

Students must apply for admission to study for a Master’s degree or above in Psychology Personal Statement (plan to study for a PhD in Psychology) Scholarship Amount: ¡ê1,000

Stirling’s College of Education and College of Sport are internationally renowned.

In addition, a large number of majors such as finance, investment analysis, media management, psychology, management, business research and marketing are among the leading universities in the UK, and it is also named as Scotland’s Outstanding Sports University.

Since its establishment, the University of Stirling has modularised its degree programmes, greatly enhancing the flexibility and optionality of the programme.

Stirling is the first British university to adopt a two-term rather than three-term system.

The first term runs from mid-September to Christmas.

The second semester runs from mid-February to the end of May, and summer academic courses are also offered at night.

The University has more than 256 undergraduate degree programs.

Graduate programs are also varied.

The standard of university teaching has always been highly regarded.

With excellent teaching ratings in politics, accounting, finance, economics, sociology, religion, business, psychology and English, Stirling stands out for its specialism in the arts and social sciences.

It is also highly rated in natural science and environmental science.

All but one subject was rated at least “very satisfactory” and ranked in the top 10 in the UK in The Times Higher Education Supplement’s Teaching assessment.

The Philosophy review ranked the University of Stirling’s joint postgraduate programme with the University of St Andrews as second in the UK and thirteenth in the English-speaking world.

Although the number of new students enrolled has dropped, the employment rate of graduates in the six months after graduation has been rising.

Stirling is one of the largest and most modern universities in Scotland.

Founded in 1967, it was one of the most innovative universities in the UK – it was the first to introduce a two-term system of 15 weeks each, starting in February and September, with the summer holidays running from late June to mid-August.

The university is relatively focused on teaching and research, and the subjects that received top grades in the recent National Assessment of teaching quality include economics, environmental science, religious studies and sociology.

The University has four faculties: Liberal Arts, Humanities, Management and Natural Sciences, and offers many attractive courses and some unusual subjects.

The School of Management covers a wide range of areas, including sports management studies.

Stirling is also the centre for Japanese studies in Scotland and has a strong faculty in film and media;

The environmental science department’s curriculum is increasingly oriented towards courses related to aquaculture.

The school is popular among students because of its flexibility in major selection.

The University of Stirling’s expert research centers include: Cancer Care Research Center;

Scottish Economic Research Network;

Aquaculture Research Institute;

Centre for the Study of European Relations;

Center for Environmental History and Policy;

Stirling Institute for Media Studies;

Centre for Social Work Research, Centre for Social Research on Dementia;

The Scottish Laboratory;

Scottish Centre for Chronic Pain Research;

Scottish Centre for Language Information, Teaching and Research;

Lifelong Learning Centre;

Center for Retail Research.

In the 2001 RAE exercise, more than half of Stirling’s University research centres were rated at the high level of ‘5’ (indicating that the majority of research in these areas is considered to meet at least national standards of excellence, or international standards of excellence).

Half of the university’s academic departments are ranked first in Scotland.

Subjects rated “5” include: accounting, finance and law;

Aquaculture;

Film and Media Studies;

English research report;

The French;

History;

Psychology;

Philosophy and social work;

Religious studies.

Other subject areas also received high marks, including: biological sciences, business and management;

Economy;

Education;

Germany;

Sports Studies.

The increase in research funding outstripped that of any other Scottish university and was the largest in the UK.

The university has a track record of externally funded research (cost, results, progress, etc.), which attracts grants and awards from the UK Research Council, central and local government, the European Union and charities.

It carries out high quality research ranging from basic subjects to strategic research, making a significant contribution to Scotland’s economic, social and cultural life and beyond.

The University of Stirling’s most attractive views are Airthrey Castle and Airthrey Loch, surrounded by 360 acres of wooded parkland.

The University of Stirling offers a wide range of accommodation, with 2,300 student halls on campus and 1,000 off-campus halls.

Most of the dorms on campus overlook the lake on campus and are within walking distance of teaching buildings, library facilities, shops, theatres and social venues.

A bridge connects the residential area to the central complex, which houses a shopping mall, a bank, a cafe, a student centre, a library and the attractive MacRobert Art Centre.

Room cleaning: quilts, pillows and sheets are provided and cleaned by the University.

There are many public laundry rooms available to students on campus.

Kitchen: All dormitories are self-cooked and equipped kitchens are provided.

The kitchen is equipped with stoves and storage facilities, so students only need to prepare cooking utensils and cutlery.

Social facilities: Every dormitory has recreational facilities.

The lounge has a wide screen television, DVD and VCR.
