The University of Manchester is offering a range of scholarships for Indian students in 2025, aimed at supporting tuition fees based on academic merit. Scholarships Available for Indian Students in 2025
Global Futures Scholarship
This scholarship is available for both undergraduate and postgraduate students. Indian students, along with other international students, can apply for this merit-based scholarship.
- For undergraduate students, over 100 scholarships worth up to £24,000 are available. These scholarships provide £8,000 per year for three years.
- The deadline for undergraduate applications is April 10, 2025, with results expected by April 30, 2025.
Eligibility for Undergraduate Global Futures Scholarship:
- Applicants must be domiciled in India and must pay international tuition fees.
- They should have a conditional or unconditional offer from the university.
- The scholarship is available for various schools, including Alliance Manchester Business School, Languages and Cultures, School of Arts, Education and Development, School of Environment, and the School of Social Sciences.
For postgraduate students, the Global Futures Scholarship offers 230 merit-based scholarships, each worth £8,000.
GREAT Scholarship 2025
In collaboration with the British Council and the GREAT Britain Campaign, the University of Manchester is offering the GREAT Scholarship 2025. This scholarship is worth £10,000 towards tuition fees for Indian students enrolling in the 2025–2026 academic year. It is available for taught master’s programs in the School of Arts, Languages, and Cultures.
- The application deadline is April 24, 2025, and results will be announced by May 30, 2025.
Humanities Postgraduate Scholarships
This scholarship offers £10,000 and is awarded based on academic merit. No separate application is needed, as it is granted automatically to eligible students. It is available for one year only, and applicants must be domiciled in India and paying international tuition fees.
Manchester Humanities International Excellence Scholarship
This scholarship provides funding of up to £5,000, depending on the tuition fees of the program.
- For programs with tuition fees of £28,000 or less, the scholarship will offer £2,500.
- For programs with tuition fees above £28,000, the scholarship will offer £5,000.
Humanitarian and Conflict Response Institute Taught Masters Scholarships
This scholarship, worth £14,000, is available for students enrolling in select programs in September 2025. One scholarship each will be offered for the MSc in International Disaster Management and the MA in Humanitarianism and Conflict Response. This scholarship is open to international students from all countries.
