What are the admission requirements for Chinese students studying in US high schools in 2023

There are nearly 4,000 accredited universities in the United States, and more than 50 percent of the world’s top 100 schools are in the United States.

To be admitted to a prestigious American university is the dream of every student.

According to the data, in 2012, more than 40% of Chinese students chose the United States as the target country to study abroad. Here is a small edition to introduce the admission conditions for domestic students to study in the United States in 2023.

All American schools have a threshold for TOEFL and SSAT. Most top day or boarding schools require a TOEFL score of 100 and a SSAT score of 2250 or more.

English ability is very important. It can’t be improved in one or two days. It needs to be prepared two to three years in advance.

English literacy school to understand you must be through writing, to understand what your paperwork looks like.

This IS WHY MANY SCHOOLS ASK FOR INTERVIEWS WITH VILLIK, BECAUSE THERE IS WRITING IN VILLIK.

Unlike TOEFL or SSAT scores, writing is not something that can be improved by quick reading in a day or two at an outside training institution.

GPA is academic ability.

Transcripts for the last three years and teacher recommendation letters are required.

This is a very important factor in American high school applications.

American high schools are more willing to recruit children from American middle schools. Both recommendation letters and transcripts are true, while many Chinese schools and recommendation letters need to be improved.

Your extracurricular activities, whether the United States high school application or college application, are to have a relatively strong comprehensive ability of the child.

Take a look at children’s interests and hobbies extracurricular activities, in a certain aspect whether there are advantages, highlights;

Ice hockey, football, tennis, singing to see the character to see the specialty.

Attach importance to the child’s independence and communicative ability, but also take a fancy to the child’s character.

Specialty and hobby also want to pass a period of preparation in advance, early training.

No matter how high your grades are, how many skills you have, how beautiful your essay is, how good your oral English is, but if you can’t do a good job in the interview, half an hour or 40 minutes, impress the admissions officer.

All the application process, everything else is auxiliary, the interview is the core.

Donations Celebrities’ children go to top universities or boarding schools, all with donations.

Most schools in the United States are private, and they rely heavily on donations from alumni and well-known corporations.

Second, the domestic students to apply for study in the United States what way via a: quick study in the United States after the university entrance exam 1, enrolled in the university of dual admission for students without language scores, the United States has many universities offer “conditional admission”, also known as “double admitted”, namely the academic performance at school admissions requirements, but language result not reached, the school can admit.

Students will be graded according to the results of the English test. They will study English for a period of time. Once they pass the English test stipulated by the school, they can directly enter the university courses without having to apply again.

Tu Pan warned that such universities are particularly suitable for senior three students, who can study abroad while preparing for the college entrance examination.

Admission results will be available before the end of the college entrance examination. If the college entrance examination is not satisfactory, you can apply for a visa in June or July and study in the United States at the end of August.

Students and their parents who have little time to prepare can also enroll in January next year.

Community colleges that offer a two-year Associate Degree and vocational education are also an option.

The advantages of community colleges are small class sizes, a bridge to elite schools, and the fact that they are partly public, making them cheap and cost-effective.

An increasing number of overseas students are applying to US community colleges as an important stepping stone to a four-year degree, Tu said.

Currently, more than 11 million students are enrolled in community colleges in the United States, accounting for 44 percent of the total number of college students in the United States, and community college freshmen account for 50 percent of the total number of college freshmen in the United States, which means that half of all high school graduates in the United States choose community colleges.

Transfer offers students a second chance if they don’t get the chance to go to the university they want in China.

According to Tu Pan, transferring schools is a feature of American education.

You can transfer to your dream university and you can transfer to your dream major.

Generally speaking, the best time to transfer is to finish freshman or sophomore. A few colleges require that you complete 60 credits to finish sophomore before you can transfer.

In addition, most institutions accept transfer students with a maximum of two years of credit.

This means that transfer students must spend at least two years at the accepted school to earn their diploma.

There are also some schools can transfer three years of credit, but relatively few.

So transferring after junior year is bound to waste some credits.

Still have the school stipulation senior year IS cannot transfer.
