What are the main costs of studying in Australia?

To study in Australia, the cost is mainly in these places: tuition, accommodation, food, travel, but these costs in different areas of consumption level is not the same, specific problems or specific analysis, today to introduce to you the main cost of studying in Australia in what aspects?

If you are interested in this topic, please click here.

What are the main costs of studying in Australia? Tuition: In Australia, primary schools are grades 1-6, and secondary schools are grades 7-12.

Grade 11.12 in Australia is equivalent to high school in China. Students who graduate from junior high school in Australia can only apply from grade 10.

Australian high schools are divided into public and private high schools.

Public high schools are under the unified management of the government and the teaching quality is guaranteed.

Tuition costs between A $10,000 and A $20,000 a year.

Private high schools are privately funded and their teaching quality is not uniform.

There are good schools and bad schools.

Tuition costs are around A $20,000 to A $30,000 a year.

Cost of living: The cost of studying in Australia varies greatly depending on where you live, for example in New South Wales.

Victoria or Western Australia, then your living expenses are about 1.6-2 a year.

The cost of living in Queensland and South Australia is around A $100,000 a year. Between A $30,000 and A $16,000.

Living in the Northern Territory and the Capital Territory costs between A $0.8- A $12,000 a year.

Living expenses in Australian high school are mainly spent on food and shelter.

Let’s look at the various parts of living expenses.

1. Accommodation There are many boarding high schools in Australia.

You can choose to live on campus.

The cost of a year’s accommodation in a private secondary school is 13,000 Australian dollars, which is relatively expensive.

A year’s accommodation in a public secondary school costs 8000 Australian dollars, which is a reasonable price.

In addition to living in school, high school students generally will not rent a house by themselves. Most of them will choose host families, because they are not familiar with Australia when they first arrive in Australia. Living in a host family can help you quickly integrate into Australia.

Typical homestay rent is A $250-300 per week, including breakfast and dinner, but it is cheaper if meals are not included.

2. Food high school students who come to Australia to study are usually not too old to cook by themselves.

Breakfast at school typically costs A $2-4 and lunch and dinner typically costs A $8-15.

The boarding cost of the host family is included in the rent, which is about 50,000-10,000 Australian dollars a year.

People who live in or near the school can walk directly to school.

Usually you can choose the bus or train to go downtown or go out to play, very convenient.

It will cost no more than A $20 a week.

The English language ability is very important for studying in Australia. It is not only reflected in the learning effect, but also affects the quality of life, communication efficiency, cultural compatibility, making friends and job opportunities.

Therefore, learning English well and using it flexibly will be very important for the future study.

If before going abroad to arrange English training courses, so I suggest it is best to attend all the foreign teachers are teaching courses, listening and speaking skills will not only maximum exercise, can also learn from foreign teachers teaching method, arrangement, performance evaluation, the classroom atmosphere feel foreign colleges and universities teaching model in advance, is very helpful to go abroad after learning.

At present, there are quite a lot of training courses for high scores and test questions in China, and most of them are taught by Chinese. As a professional studying abroad, I do not recommend this way.

After all, learning English well is for yourself, not for others to see, the practice will eventually harm yourself.

You will understand why I say this when you actually got 6.5 points in IELts and didn’t understand the class in a foreign university.

It is very important to have a sense of self-protection when going out. Try not to go out alone after 9 p.m., and try to reject strangers’ visits, especially girls.

Although the overall security situation in Australia is far better than at home, it is not a paradise, and there are still sporadic crimes.

The resettlement of the original resident people (Maori) has always been the most troublesome problem for the Australian government, because many social problems such as quality of life, employment opportunities, social acceptance, social welfare and children’s education have not been satisfactorily solved, resulting in disputes and conflicts from time to time.

As immigrants, Middle Easterners and some South Asians also have high crime rates because of these problems.

Although serious criminal cases are rare in Australia, public security cases such as robbery are also not rare. Therefore, as a foreign student, it is recommended that you try to keep a certain distance with them in the early stage of studying abroad, so as not to show wealth or show wealth to avoid unnecessary personal trouble.

Keep in mind the contact information of Chinese embassies and consulates in Australia, local police stations, major Chinese organizations, student guardians, host families and overseas study service agencies so that you can contact and seek assistance in case of emergency.

Perhaps some students do not think so, psychological always think that as long as a little careful will not have an accident or encounter emergency problems.

However, as an old Chinese saying goes, “man’s calculation is not as good as God’s calculation.” It is always good to be prepared for everything, at least not to lose yourself.
