What are the requirements for applying to Oxford Law School

The University of Oxford is one of the most famous universities in the world. Let’s learn more about the application requirements of the University of Oxford Law School.

Introduction to the Oxford LLM The Oxford LLM is different from any other school in that it divides its students into two categories: BCL and MJur.

BCL is for students admitted from common law countries and Mjur is for students admitted from civil law countries.

This is because common law students have to answer one more question in the exam, considering that their English and professional level are higher than those of civil law students.

Even so, the students who do well every year are still the common law students.

The most important feature of Oxford Law School teaching is the tutorial system.

The mentors are researchers, most of whom are scholars of excellent character and learning.

Oxford Law School has a strong research force. Many of its faculty members are members of the Royal Society, and most of them are world authorities in their academic fields.

According to Cloud Education Group, first-year law students are required to take three basic subjects, Roman Law or Introduction to Law (the alternative), criminal law, and Constitutional Law, and take a preliminary examination.

The remaining two years are filled with eight other legal subjects, including compulsory Torts, Contract, land, Trust, European Law, Administrative Law, and Jurisprudence, followed by a graduation examination at the end of the third (or fourth) year.

1. Educational requirements: Applicants should have a two-to-one honors bachelor’s degree from a British university, majoring in a major related to the applied field, with a GPA of no less than 3.7, or an undergraduate bachelor’s degree recognized by China’s 985 or 211 universities, with an average undergraduate score of more than 90%;

2. Language requirements: Applicants should have a total IELTS score of 7.5, with a minimum score of 7.0 in each individual, or a total TOEFL score of 110, including 22 in listening, 24 in reading and writing, and 25 in speaking;

3. Materials: Applicants need official transcripts, resumes, personal statements, reference materials, letters of recommendation, passport, visa, IELTS or TOEFL transcripts, etc.
