An analysis of the educational environment and employment prospects of overseas students in the United States

The top five universities with the largest distribution of international students are New York University, Columbia University, the State University of New York at Buffalo, Cornell University and Stony Brook University.

With an estimated 45,704 international students, Pennsylvania has the highest percentage of Chinese students (38.0%) and ranks sixth among the states with the most Chinese students.

The top five universities for international students are: Pennsylvania State University, Carnegie Mellon University, the University of Pennsylvania, Drexel University, and the University of Pittsburgh.

With approximately 19,196 international students, New Jersey has the highest percentage of Chinese students (37.2%) and ranks 15th among the states with the most Chinese students.

The top five universities for international students in New Jersey are: Rutgers, New Brunswig, New Jersey Institute of Technology, Stevens Institute of Technology, Princeton University, and Fairleigh Dickens University.

2. Major in finance and media in New York;

New Jersey biotech, pharmaceutical;

Pennsylvania’s computer science, finance, artificial intelligence, biotechnology and biomedicine majors are strong.

The most popular majors in the Mid-Atlantic region include psychology in New York state, business administration in Pennsylvania and business administration in New Jersey.

The majors in the Mid-Atlantic states of New York, Pennsylvania and New Jersey are visual and performing arts, neuroscience and statistical and decision sciences, respectively.

3. Employment Opportunities Over time, most of the heavy industry in the area has moved and been replaced by pharmaceutical and communications industries and service industries. The rise of these industries has also provided many new jobs for graduates in pharmacology, medicine, EE, business, etc.

Finance majors can be employed in the company’s financial department, insurance, securities, real estate industry, government’s financial management department, etc.

More than 70% of the students work in the company after graduation, 60% of them are engaged in electrical, electronic and computer engineers, the rest are engaged in management, marketing and sales, computer programming and other jobs.

The employment of mechanical engineering is good. About 80% of the students work in the industry after graduation. The main occupations include factory managers, department heads, managers, production engineers, design engineers and so on.

The highest-paying majors in the Mid-Atlantic states of New York, Pennsylvania and New Jersey are all pre-medical.

The Central Region (Northeast Central Region) includes the following five states: Wisconsin (WI), Illinois (IL), Michigan (MI), Indiana (IN), and Ohio (OH).

Michigan, with 32,015 international students, has the highest percentage of Chinese students (36.3 percent) and ranks ninth among the states with the most Chinese students.

The top five universities for international students are Michigan State University, University of Michigan at Ann Arbor, Wayne State University, Western Michigan University, and Michigan Technological University.

With approximately 28,104 international students, Indiana has the highest percentage of Chinese students (39.8 percent) and ranks 10th among the states with the most Chinese students.

The top five universities for international students are: Purdue University, Indiana University Bloomington, Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis, Indiana State University, and University of Notre Dame.

2. Preferred Majors Michigan: Life Science, Information Technology and Advanced Manufacturing Indiana: Advanced Manufacturing, Industrial Machinery, Transportation, Logistics Distribution, Information Technology, Life Science, Finance and Insurance Ohio: Manufacturing, Business, Management, Journalism and Communication, Engineering Illinois:

Computer, mechanical engineering, Manufacturing engineering, communications equipment, biotechnology, finance, insurance, consulting and other advantages The most popular majors in the central (Northeast) region of Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois and Wisconsin are business administration majors.

The fist majors in the central (Northeast) states of Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, and Wisconsin are cognitive science and biological psychology, biomedical engineering, computer networks and communications, actuarial science, and various agriculture-related majors, respectively.

3. Job Opportunities Business management majors are in great demand.

Graduates of this major can work in many companies or government departments, engaged in corporate management, accounting, tax, financial management, sales and so on.

More than 70% of industrial engineering graduates enter the industry after graduation, becoming enterprise managers, department heads, industrial engineers or mechanical engineers, etc., with a high average salary.

The market demand for news media is generally good, but most graduates do not work in the media, mainly in the government, political organizations, but also engaged in sales, justice, management, radio and television work.
